Ezra Collective , afrobeat-jazz harmanlarına hiphop, grime ve reggae gibi farklı türleri abartmadan yedirebilmeye başarmış nadir gruplardan. Geçen Ekim’de yeni EP’leri Juan Pablo:The Philosopher’ı çıkardılar.
The Souljazz Orchestra is back with a new LP that’s released yesterday by Strut Records. There are some new things on this album like vintage synths and drum machines. I’ve always admired the analog feeling of their sound, the addition of synths spice up this great mixture. It feels exciting especially on the two cover songs, Somalian disco-funk legends Dur Dur Band’s Is Yeelyel, and Senegalese the Orchestra Baobab’s Aduna Jarul Naawo.
The first single, which has the least effect that I mentioned above, features a former member of Fela Kuti’s Afrika 70, Mabinuori Kayode Idowu. The video for the song is a collage of the footage from Soviet artist Roman Davidov’s 1963 animation, The Shareholder.

Synkro releaed a dubstep refix of the dub version of this tune on 2008 which can be regarded as one of the first dubstep reggae connections (refixwise), also I have to say this, Jah Love was one of the greatest refixes until now.

Pour moi la musique est toute ma vie
Je m’inspire meme en tout lieu
Mes temps de loisirs sont sacrifies
